IAM Resilience

Acsense will showcase how its Observe, Assure, Act, Restore, Verify model contains identity-based attacks, including those launched by rogue AI agents, inside Okta and Microsoft Entra environments.

SAN FRANCISCO, September 22, 2026 – Acsense, the IAM Resilience platform, today announced it will join Oktane 2026, Okta’s flagship customer and partner conference, as a Gold Sponsor. At the event, Acsense will present its approach to detecting and reversing identity-based attacks in real time, including attacks carried out at machine speed by autonomous AI agents.

The sponsorship comes as security teams confront a new category of risk: AI agents that, once compromised or misused, can move from a technical foothold to credential theft, identity impersonation, privilege escalation, and the creation of new, trusted access paths, often generating thousands of actions in the process. Acsense’s position is that defenders do not need to track every one of those upstream steps. They need to know the moment a protected identity control changes.

A Real-World Backdrop

Acsense’s Oktane presence builds on lessons drawn from the July 2026 Hugging Face incident, in which an autonomous agent reportedly progressed from code execution in a production workload to broader infrastructure control, using service-account tokens, cloud credentials, forged identity tokens, VPN enrollment material, and other secrets along the way. Hugging Face reconstructed roughly 17,600 agent actions taken over the course of the intrusion.

“We may not see how the rogue agent got there. But when it touches your identity control plane, Acsense sees the change and can cut, remediate, restore, and verify the trusted state.”

Observe, Assure, Act, Restore, Verify

Rather than attempting to observe an attacker’s entire path through infrastructure, applications, and credentials, Acsense focuses on the identity provider itself (Okta, Microsoft Entra, and similar platforms) as the boundary where an attack becomes visible and actionable. When a privileged role assignment, authentication policy, application trust configuration, or group rule drifts from its approved state, Acsense identifies the change against a defined Assurance Policy, then automatically contains, remediates, restores, and verifies the correct configuration.

At Oktane, Acsense will walk through concrete scenarios mapped directly to this model, including an agent escalating privilege by adding itself to a protected group, an agent weakening authentication by disabling MFA or relaxing a session policy, and an agent establishing persistence by modifying OAuth application trust or scopes. In each case, Acsense’s platform identifies the unauthorized change in the identity provider and restores the approved configuration automatically.

Why the Identity Layer Matters at Machine Speed

As AI agents take on more autonomous roles inside enterprise environments, the volume and speed of potential attack paths grows well beyond what manual review can keep pace with. Acsense’s premise is that defenders do not need to first prove an actor is an AI agent, or trace exactly how a credential was obtained; a resulting change to privileged role membership, authentication controls, application trust, or group rules is itself a violation of policy, and can be treated as such regardless of its origin.

“Other security controls follow the agent. Acsense protects the identity state the agent is trying to change.”
